Meet our Managing Director
Rudy Spencer leads the invite & review process for our philanthropic investments.
Rudy joined us from Big Brothers Big Sisters of Kentuckiana, where he was the Chief Strategy & Development Officer. Prior to a professional fundraising career, Rudy worked in a variety of public and private sectors learning how their operations impact social policy.
He developed a love of philanthropy through volunteer service, most notably at Metro United Way, where he was the 2018 Community Campaign Co-Chair that raised $26 million dollars for charities in the Louisville, KY region.
Rudy’s leadership & contributions have been widely recognized. Most recently, he was named the 2021 Young Philanthropist of the Year by the Association of Fundraising Professionals (Louisville), and in 2020 he was named a national BMe Community Genius Fellow.
He lives in Louisville, Kentucky with his wife and daughter. He received his MSW from the University of Michigan, and he is a Certified Fundraising Executive (CFRE) and Project Management Professional (PMP).
